FAQ

What is the PA Neurosurgery Fellowship?

The PA Neurosurgery Fellowship is a 12-month intensive training program designed to provide physician assistants with hands-on experience in neurosurgery, including inpatient and outpatient care, surgical assisting, interdisciplinary collaboration, and research.

Where is the fellowship located?

The primary site for the fellowship is St. Mary’s Medical Center in Langhorne, PA. Fellows will also rotate through outpatient offices in the greater Philadelphia area and have the option to spend time at AtlantiCare (City Campus).

What is the stipend for the fellowship?

Fellows receive a stipend of $80,000, paid in biweekly installments over 12 months. There are no tuition fees.

Are there additional benefits?

Yes. The fellowship includes health insurance, malpractice coverage, PTO, and a $2,000 CME allowance. Fellows will also receive a phone, laptop, ASLS certification, and textbooks at no cost. The phone and laptop must be returned at the end of the program.

Who is eligible to apply?

Applicants must be graduates (or near-graduates) of an ARC-PA accredited PA program, certified by the NCCPA (or eligible to take the PANCE), and have or be eligible for PA and NJ licensure. ACLS and BLS certifications, along with DEA registration, are required.
